March 09-Arty places in Huang Jue Ping

102 district is becoming a place for thriving artists studios, exhibiitons spaces and openings.

The area comes to life with murals, local people integrating to the arty district and experimental art by Angela, artist from German on a University Exchange with Sichaun Fine Arts Institute.

An exhibition opening, with artists, academics, students and curators. A fun place to be and Angela brings, western concepts and new ideas.
Like UK , there are drinks and nibbles and socialising. Some of us went off to eat and join the group in the local arty bar afterwards.
The community here are foward thinking, open to partnerships and collaborations.
Being breaks down all the stereotypes of the art world and what is really going on. The artists are developing new and exciting work and not traditional lanterns, dragons and calligraphy. I hope my blog breaks down the stereotypes that the west as formed. China is rapidly moving forward, perhaps the west can learn something from them.
